Welcome to the world of Wanderbrief. Our mission is to give everyone on the planet the freedom to work remotely while travelling the world. Therefore we’ve created this community. It’s a place for you to learn, get inspired and ask questions about the digital nomad life. Above all, it’s the perfect way to connect with like-minded spirits from around the world. From entrepreneurs to freelancers and from travel influencers to (aspiring) digital nomads. We’re super excited to have you on board. Ready for take-off?
Born ready! What’s next?
Download the Slack app
Check your mail and sign in to the ‘wanderbriefers’ Slack. You’ll be added to a bunch of channels, but you can choose to mute or leave them anytime (click on the channel name and then the gear icon). Click on ‘Channels’ to see the list of subjects, such as #wanderbrief-café (for remote happy hours), #ask-me-anything, #post-remotejobs and many more.
Please add a profile photo (of your beautiful face). This will add trust to our community. Thanks!
Everyone wants to get to know you, so wander to the #introduce-yourself channel and answer 6 short questions about yourself (check the channel description). It’s the best way to get the most out of your Wanderbrief Membership, since people will then know what drives you, what you have to offer and what you need help with. Who knows. You might find that new business partner, client, travel buddy or the love of your life.
You’re almost ready to rock and roll, please take a few moments to read our community guidelines below.
To help and maintain a safe and welcoming environment, we ask that all Wanderbrief members abide by the following Community Guidelines.

Who’s building Wanderbrief?
Wanderbrief is built remotely by Valentijn van Santvoort, Mark van der Heijden and a community of Wanderbriefers from all over the world. We ditched our 9-5’s and embarked on a journey to find happiness. We found out that true happiness is the freedom to travel and work from wherever we want. Every day we’re working on Wanderbrief to make this lifestyle accessible for you too. We hope you will join us on this mission. Together we can make the world a more happy, creative, friendly and above all awesome place. Because in the end, as our friends from Holstee beautifully state:
“Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them.”
Thanks for wandering with us,
Mark, Valentijn and the rest of the Wanderbrief Team
